Supply Chain Manager (m/w/d)

Your mission

  • Planning, managing, and continuously optimizing the entire supply chain – from procurement through to the timely provision of materials and components for production
  • Selecting, qualifying, and developing suppliers in line with industry-specific quality and certification requirements (e.g., EN9100, ECSS)
  • Negotiating contracts, prices, and delivery terms, and ensuring on-time delivery despite the long lead times and low volumes typical of the aerospace industry
  • Inventory and capacity planning in close coordination with production, purchasing, and project management
  • Identifying and managing obsolescence issues, and ensuring the availability of critical, sometimes long-lead-time components
  • Maintaining and further developing supply chain processes within the ERP system (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics NAV)
  • Analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) related to supplier performance, inventory coverage, and process efficiency, and deriving improvement measures
  • Contributing to export control compliance and adherence to relevant regulations in international trade

Your profile

  • Completed degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable field with a focus on Supply Chain Management/Logistics
  • Several years of professional experience in supply chain management, ideally in a manufacturing, technology-driven environment with low production volumes and high quality requirements
  • Initial experience in the aerospace sector or comparable regulated industries (e.g., medical technology, automotive) is an advantage
  • Confident use of ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics NAV) and knowledge of industry-typical quality standards
  • Negotiation skills, assertiveness, and a good sense for supplier relationships
  • Structured, analytical way of working and enjoyment of collaborating with different teams and interfaces
  • Confident written and spoken German and English
